|
|
I'm deriving from a very popular corset mesh which I'm sure most of you will be familiar with. I own several versions of this corset, derived by various creators, and they all look fine. I don't think there's anything wrong with the mesh but I can't make it look right. The opacity for the lace is making my skirt underneath disappear, which doesn't happen with any of the versions that I own. In the pic you'll see what I mean - I was just checking the first stages of my work and decided not to go on until the opacity problem is corrected. Thanks in advance for help!
Here is the item I'm deriving from: http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=5722361 _________________

The skirt bottom you have on while you took that pic, is blended. There for when you have the corset above it set to blend... It will poof always. It will do this with any blended bottom you put on. If you take the blending off on the corset you lose the lace tho right? So the only choice is to ware it with non blended bottoms.
Just another issue with graphics that we can not control.
Hope this helped. _________________ Ignorance Is Bliss, Knowledge Is Power!

The blending of the original mesh is off. I tried turning it on and off to see if that helped but it didn't. The lace does not go away in either case. Also I tried it with several bottoms and it does it to all of them. The corsets I have in my inventory from the same mesh do not do this to any bottoms I have. Thanks for answering, I hope I ca figure this out D: _________________

I tested it before I responded the first time as I always do when trying to help some one. So that I know whats happening before I try to help.
I put that mesh on, put on a bottom I have that ik is blended as well. It poofed under the lace as yours did in your pic.
When I shut the blending off on M03 the bottoms showed up again. Turned it back on and they poofed once more. I put on a pair of pants that I know does not have blending and they show fine.
Its blending on top of blending just like if your standing behind glass on IMVU. What ever is blended behind the glass goes poof. _________________ Ignorance Is Bliss, Knowledge Is Power!

Thank you so much for spending your time to help me, and I'm sorry I'm being a dunce!
The thing is blending was off on the original product, I had to turn it on to see if that was maybe the problem. Should it still be doing that with blending off? _________________

No, with blending off you should never have the layer conflict you have with blending.
Sorry if I have to ask but your sure it was off on M03 (the lace layer) because it was default on when I tried it. _________________ Ignorance Is Bliss, Knowledge Is Power!

No don't be sorry for trying to help me lol! I'm such a newb at this, I really appreciate it. You're probably exactly right! Typical for me, it was something simple all along. I have to sign off for a couple hours but I will check on that as soon as I can. I bet that's what it was. Thanks again for your help, it was really nice of you. _________________
