There are thousands of tutorials all over the internet and the textures forum section on how to use Gimp. _________________

Settle down spazzy, it's ok! You're going to have to give yourself a little time to learn gimp. I did it by first looking over the online gimp manual - and just a little, I didn't read every word or anything, just enough to get a little familiar with it. Then I went to youtube and searched for gimp tutorials. I learn a lot better by being shown how to do it, rather than just reading how to do it - plus you can replay it over and over if you have to, following along until you get it. I found tutorials by Gimptricks to be the easiest for me to understand when I was just starting, but that's not for imvu stuff, that's just beginners stuff, like getting to know your way around. But there are tons of tutorials out there! Find some that are easy for you to follow and understand. After the basics, I decided to make a really simple project - a hair texture. So I searched "imvu hair texture tutorial" and watched everything I could till I felt ready. You will see there is often more than one way of doing things, and you can try out different techniques till you find out what works best for you. I suggest starting out with a couple of simpler projects than a full-on furry, until you get the hang of it. Watch and participate along with all the tutorials you can. If you're a quick study you will work your way up fast. Also, it doesn't hurt to find an experienced dev who's willing to answer your questions when you get stuck. Best of luck - now go do your homework ^^ _________________

first you open up imvu website and click shop tab, type furry skin or some sort....and buy whatever you like or can afford.....
(pauses)
if you want to create it, just keep messing around gimp for fun...if you go at photo/paint editing software with a purpose your draining the fun out of it. it takes time...very stupid words maybe on my behalf but it always wrked for me when i needed something done. _________________
