Thanks again for your patience! |
Not to sound greedy, but could the tech guys try shooting for "better" than normal?
As in, music working, no lag, no crashing, no getting ejected from rooms and chats with no indication you're already dead... the stuff that we experience in a "normal" day here on imvu?
"Normal" imvu is already hit-the-hills worthy. _________________

| The blue bar isn't working for me, so having an update is out of the question except here. Shame it's been off all day long for the most part. Tried before I went to work & it didn't...now I'm home (have been for almost 3 hours) & it's still not working. I might as well go to bed for the night & hope it's working in the morning. |

Wow. Barely 12 hours have passed since I took a gander in this thread und nearly thirty new pages of complaining, mostly about the server issues.
You would think by now, at least half of the users (if not more, I'd hope) would be able to identify the difference between server issues und client version issues.
I haven't logged on yet today, so I hope by the time I do, if I do, that the server issues have been resolved.
As far as the update goes, I'll say it again. I absolutely love it. Again, I've noticed more of the people whom are having issues with the new update are geared more towards Windows 7 users.
This, itself, has been an issue for awhile. As always, you have some Windows 7/XP (main) users that don't experience many of the issues, luckily I'm one of them, then those who do.
But over the course of the last 15 general updates or so, to me that issue was apparent. Windows 7 users were, by far, experiencing more difficulties than XP users. _________________

| After my re-install of 471, I had no issues, including lag, so no, it's not the client, but I wish they would have resolved the server issues during the day. |

The troubles go back farther than that. We were using XP when we joined in 2007 and as soon as we updated to Win7 there was troubles with IMVU.
IMVU has NEVER publicly admitted to this problem between 32bit XP and 64bit Win7 running IMVU but many of us experience it again and again.
Someone on the technical staff should make Windows 7 running IMVU their project as more people will be updating to Windows 7 than will ever be returning to XP.
i am hoping that the troubles i experienced were just the server issues that may hopefully now be finally fixed?
i am tired of getting errors just because i wish to change clothes or search in favorited rooms. And when mai friends come online tomorrow what neu hell will be waiting for me with chat requests? 30 pages of complaints with the server, with the update and with that game.
This whole update has been like a catastrophe being announced on the news.
Crash and error reports coming in all day. _________________ i have NO interest in any unhealthy alternative to an actual lifestyle. |

Oii Blav, dont need to smack me so harsh By the way, cool tattoos , i like them all, just bought few . About server-client , may be, though IMVU will never tell us what is or was wrong exactly in an open |

Update:
As of about 6 PM on Tuesday evening, the server issues were fully resolved. The 3D Chat client should be fully accessible for everyone.

Thread has been cleaned up and off-topic posts have been removed.
Reminders:
Please discuss 471.0 version related topics in this thread.
Yesterday's server issues are now resolved. They were not 471 specific and should no longer be discussed in this thread.

| Peer review seems to be working now. It took about 10 minutes of idling to load but seems to be fine. Not sure why the pause but at least the problem is solved |
