okay so recently I've submitted some new stuff in my catalog and i can't believe mostly all my new things got dmca'd , theirs this Dev which is after me and i think he/she doing this on purpose just so he/she can ruin my sales/tiers . what can i do because i think he/she is doing this on purpose i can't believe I'm being dmca'd for a dumb reason . Should i call imvu? i really don't know what to do. what I'm afraid of is that if i make new products again he/she will continue doing this. Because if i make products and submit them its just going to be a waste of hard-work and credits because I'ma keep getting dmca'd by this Dev . please help

calling imvu wont help ,
You have the option in your email on the dcma to counter it you will need to provide them with the proof its your product original ,meaning texture ,icon ,product layout ,or mesh which ever you got the dcma for then they will reserch it and do what is neded thats all you can do and nothing can else be discussed further on the subject due to law .

If you are being DMCA filed against, and you own the files that you used to submit, you can counter.

Yes it's a pain to be grief DMCA'd. Follow up your counter with a help ticket expressing your concern that ONE person is attacking you. At least it will go on record.

As I understand it, only the owner of the original product you derived off from can DMCA you, other than texture and mesh theft claims. If its the first, stop deriving from them and warn your creator friends what a (bleep) they are. If its the second, counter like advised above, and if you have $50.00 spare cash, pay a lawyer to send them a letter. Most people wet their pants from a lawyer's letter and crawl under a rock.

Did you make the textures or buy them?
Because sometimes people sell textures that they have stolen.

i had an item recently pulled by the dmca..i was stunned,,my own work..i am positive its the same person that i have filed takedowns against..she uses the image extractor..so in this case she stole my work,,then said i stole it..huge headache and cost me the loss of a 1st page hottest mens top..i filed a counter...and if all goes well it will be in the catty soon..good luck

Things that you can file a DMCA for: meshes, textures, icons, product pages, logos and copyrighted images and brands.

Things that you can't file a DMCA for: ZCD, disliking the creator, because you are mad at a person.

While DMCAs are only supposed to be able to be filed by the original owner of the item, some people do it just to mess with others because of a dislike. If you have your original files and can prove it's your work, then you have nothing to worry about. Always look at the item and PID of the item that you are accused of stealing and what not. Often your PID is younger than the one filed, but not always.

Hi all I too feel the same and I have written to imvu and DMCA but do nothing so .. luckily you will only copy one I copied my number and wtf .. hardly speak English and do not understand some things: S

Just counter the DMCA. Understand there's are harsher penalties for submitting a false DMCA than a legit one. Also understand that IMVU is not a court or a judge and jury, all they have to do is comply with the DMCA, so ratting on to the DMCA agent will achieve you zip and just slow down the process.

When your in the right..its aways good to speak to a lawyer, you can have a lot of fun with and incorrectly filed DMCA, and you can sit on it for years before you decide to take action. ^^

Counter the DMCA, seriously consider legal advise.
