It sounds like a Firewall issue. Make sure and tell you firewall the IMVUQualityAgent.exe is allowed to access the internet. ther are some issues with the Microsoft Security Essentials too... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/disable-microsoft-security-essentials/0bcfa371-fa95-40b1-9a18-00c8db346326

You might check out some of the other posting in this thread. There are some good ideas to try and they may help you with your issue. Smile

Could be firewall
Could be the version you are using(the version you are using is the most common)

completely uninstall imvu, then go here: http://www.imvu.com/download.php and install the latest version there

There are some issues with Notebook / Laptop Mobile Graphics ChipSets. It usually happens when someone has been off IMVU for a while and comes back. It says "Upgrade Now" and they do the upgrade and ... no more IMVU.

Do the IMVU Uninstall from the Programs Menu. Then download from the link in the above message. If you *Still* have problems, read at this link and try the solution there.

Even though the description is not the same as you problem try it if the above didnt work for you.
