Update:

I had the opportunity to sit down with Varsha and Katie Marie today in a face to face meeting. Things look like they will go rather well, and at this time, they are willing to commit to their presence at the Dev Con, along with hosting visitors at IMVU HQ in a kind of "meet and greet" social setting. While nothing is carved in stone as far as their final presence there, we DO know they will be there and we DO know there is an active, valid interest.

This is going to be rather smooth as far as transition or travel from the Con location to IMVU, as the train picks up in front of the hotel and drops off in front of IMVU with little hassle. This will be a great opportunity for many of you to combine your first trip to IMVU with your first Dev Con experience. More will be posted and updated as this develops further.

Registration will be opening up for early bird special soon. Please wait for further announcements on that. We will be accommodating the requests we have received to allow people to put down a deposit and make payments on tickets, rather than requiring payment in full at time of purchase.

I am saddened to be posting this, but there is no easy way.

It saddens me to let you know that a long time IMVU member and good friend passed away Aug 30th. Sedu left us all a little piece of herself in many ways through her strong spirt, her talent and her passion. She was a wonderul person, a good friend to many and she will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts go out to the people in her life and especially to her 5 yr old son.
