Aye, and why is it that only some who have one fail vote do go to CS and others pass? CS has far better things to do, indeed. |
I *guess* from my experience that anything below 95% PASS votes - that's one FAIL for 20 votes!!(1) - is eligible for CS review.
Obviously we need an official clarification on this - and also to know whether the amount of reasons given to fail a product is weighted or not.
(1) Hence my repeated suggestion to increase the total number of required votes - I'd say 35 or 40. |
I notice that some of my products have as few as six votes and as many as 26, and are passed within minutes of submission. How can this be? *smh* I shall never understand the logic (as it is illogical). _________________ |

The minimal number of votes is a ridiculous 5. |

Actually, last week I had an item pass with only 4 votes. I was shocked. _________________

I hope that's just a bug that gets fixed. If not, doesn't that imply that IMVU has now confirmed that Peer Review is so broken that PR voting results simply don't matter at all and PR is a failure, so they are just trying to reduce the CS review queue and CS workload?
Unfortunately lowering the number of votes required to pass also reduces the chance that any real violation will be spotted, failed, and/or flagged by 20 to 30%. How would that help anyone other than misraters and CS?
Instead of continuing to make the problem worse, I hope someday IMVU actually fixes Peer Review and gets rid of the bots. _________________

I just tried PR to verify this. The version I have is requiring 9 or more votes, even with no fails.
I wonder if IMVU is trying out different vote requirements. Sometimes they roll-out different versions of the web pages at the same time as a test. _________________

Jamo, I had a product that was created literally years ago and yesterday was looking at it and it had the 'this product has no gone through PR'....it is for sale, is GA, however, no matter if I attempted to edit the product or edit the html or settings, it WOULD NO go through PR. *sigh*

I have to laugh at the bots doing PR - I just submitted a GA room this morning and all but 1 vote passed it - the fail vote was for "malicious content" - yeah, right, malicious content on a GA room, GA tags, GA description, GA images, nothing malicious about anything on the product page or for any textures I used. When are the bots going to be gotten rid of? It's ridiculous - I think 1 or both of the 2 that had to be sent to CS for further review (out of 8 hairs I submitted yesterday morning or the night before) had weird fails also. _________________

There are certainly patterns... and days on which you should NOT try to submit anything. |

I used to wonder why one product would pass with a single (oddball) fail vote, and another would have to go to CS. Now I see that it depends on the severity of the charge. If it's drugs/alcohol/hate or something pretty major, CS will look at it. If it's just one vote saying misleading description or something else minor, it passes. At least that's what I've noticed for my items.
I'm not sure if it's really bots doing all the obviously incorrect votes. Why wouldn't you just set it to pass everything? I have a realistic view of humanity and know that there are definitely people out there who would love to randomly mess up your day and waste CS's time, and by extension cost imvu money, because now they gotta pay people to sit there all day and review these products. :/ _________________

Now that you've tested all the smilies, perhaps you can post something useful.

Peer review was really fast today. This morning I submitted a GA room and within 10 minutes it was out of peer review. This afternoon I submitted a GA personal club sign wall hanging and it was out within 5 minutes. Made my day for sure. _________________

Peer review is quite unpredictable. I am able to submit and by the time I have returned to my landing page, I have a message that the product has passed with 26 votes. *smh* I am no complaining; it is a pleasant turn of events that our products go through more quickly. _________________ |
