Quiziera some recommendations that technic used
to solve a problem when creating body.
I have followed this tutorial using the FFD 3X3X3 modifier,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ke_GaCxvkAA
And This tecnique AFFECT PIVOT ONLY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWJ1LLTeNgI
But always the result is a HOLE, between waist and pelvis, pelvis and leg. (view this imagen)
http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg854/scaled.php?server=854&filename=holecz.jpg&res=landing
and when I try to correct the part of the hole, using TOGGLE, not working (only works for me in EDITABLE POLY toggle)
I have been making bodies, slowly, using editable poly -> polygons, but it is slow. I see that using FFD or AFFECT PIVOT ONLY goes faster, but I can not fix those problems that occur when using sewing these modifiers.
Let me know if you can solve those problems (holes) after using FFD or Affect pivot only? and as would be the solution?
that snap toggle does not work in these cases
Thank you. |

you may want to change the title of your post.
cos "About FFD modifier in creating bodies"
and what you need help whit are very different.
the imvu avatar has this gap but is less noticeable than yours, i don`t edit avatars can`t help you much here , but to closed those gaps you can make the body mesh seamless . ( welding vertices)
the snap tool should work if the 2 meshes are align , but i think when you edit those parts they go out of sync, the gaps are there and they can be seen sometimes on the imvu original avatars.
you don`t want gaps , you need to make your avatar seamless.
it used to be a few tutorials but they are not longer there.
( maybe to keep the competiton )
what you trying to do is for advance users.
maybe some one whit more experince than me can help you here.
but it can be done if you know how to use max a little bit more.
Ps. if you make this avatar , you`ll need to make cloths to fit this body shape. _________________
