I think your question is a little confusing. Technically, the textures themselves aren't animated, especially for rooms. If you want an animated effect in the room, it usually requires multiple layers of mesh or special settings in the "animation" feature.
Could you be more specific? Is there already a room you were planning on deriving from? That might help us help you. _________________

Yes, Keef's animation tutorial is great. It can also teach you how to use the scrolling effect also. _________________ DP done by me

I believe Keef favors Photoshop. But any editing program can be used. You just need to divide the entire image into even sections. 8 cells would be an image that starts out as something like 256 pixels tall by 512 pixels wide (this is the largest you can make for IMVU) this would give you two rows of squares that measure 128 by 128... for a total of 8 cells. The actual animation is created in the animation part of create mode. All that is more clearly explained in the tutorials above. _________________ |
