IMVU screwed up on the marketing and delivery of their goal.

Sure...if I gain a few extra sales from their attempt at a record, yippie.
*throws marshmallows in the air*

But...I am pretty sure NOT one of us will recognize a HUGE increase in our personal sales. WE won't be effected.

So how do we make this work for us, since it isn't for us?

1 - We educate the masses about how Creators actually get truly compensated. The way I have been reaching out is in Pulse, and by writing the word Reseller in just about every post I make on this topic - or others remotely related.

2 - We don't ever buy credits direct from IMVU. I understand them lumping them into a promo bundle or VIP each month. That is excusable....
(I stopped buying bundles myself for 2 reasons and one was because they included IMVU credits in the "deal". I would rather do without the promo than support their credit direct)

3 - We market products in the forums and in Pulse that belong to "like" products in our catalog and use this as a marketing opportunity only. Don't goal for sales. Goal for exposure.

People may wonder why I seem so negative toward IMVU directly for these lame brained ideas they come up with. It isn't because I "hate" IMVU.

IF IMVU had a catalog that I felt I was gaining visibility in.....I would sing from the rooftops and promote the hell out of their little projects. But they don't. They have continually yanked one thing after another from me that kept me hopeful.

This is what is meant by "they don't do anything for me" attitudes.

And what is really pathetic, they don't even acknowledge a voiced opinion.

So...in appearance...they don't care.

Since I have identified that "they don't care"....I have to devise a way to make everything work for me, and yes....for my peers. That is why I tend to sensationalize a lot of my posts in the forums with something so sarcastic it generates an "OMG.....what is she pointing out here" discussion. I wouldn't be here if I hated IMVU.

I just want them to be a little more thoughtful of who actually has done the work to make it so great here in partnership with them.

I have no clue why they don't want their User base educated.

I do understand them paying their employees, having a nice work environment, and building a successful company....I just wish they thanked us once in awhile for helping them make that happen. I dunno...maybe it's asking too much for earned respect.

So..sorry for the long rant.

Buy credits from Resellers. Support this ridiculous challenge that WE will see no true reward from. (Click the gold credit badge next to my avatar picture)

Remember...
Do not gift 5 - 10 - 20 - 100 of the SAME items. Gift one at a time of one of each of your products. That is what they mean by "unique". Their twist on marketing pisses me off because it is misleading. There was no need for that!

It just seems so very confusing even for those that have been here for years. Imagine the new users, it must seem like a never ending puzzle and/or maze to try to figure all these things out.

How are you going to make a 1/2 price sale?

I see no options for this or advertisement ready for this?

They have decided that April 1 is their birthday.
I think it was actually celebrated on April 2nd a few years back, but they forgot. That is why they may have moved it to a more memorable date.

Thank you for that but still don't they have anything better to do in IMVU? Why always attack with sales and credits and such and not work on the site? The catalog is a mess, PR is a mess, the client is breaking things and things are disappearing. I would think that those that think what to do would think first let's fix and re-vamp in a positive way but I don't see that happening.
