|
|
So today I was browsing through my report and noticed a sale via a 3rd
party. I assumed that it was an outfit bundle so I took a look.
To my surprise it was a derive off my Darya avatar. One problem though,
my product has never been set to derivable.
So how did this happen
Are they exploiting a loophole, or did IMVU glitch up and make non-derivables
available for deriving for a moment. Whichever the cause is it needs to be fixed.
Can I even dmca these derives? Under the derivation rules they did nothing
wrong...but then again I never offered my product as derivable. _________________ |

This has happened a couple of times lately CD. This would be the third if not fourth thread on it. I think the only thing you can do is either file a help ticket or even maybe pm Varsha or Katie and ask them why since they are supposed to be the ones in contact with the community. _________________

I see, I scanned the first few pages of the forum but I couldn't find a similar
topic. Well I guess I'll go hassle imvu then. _________________ |

I've always had my items set to non-derivable, but when I clicked ' See derivable products only' in my catalog I had a couple of things come up with derives on it, where they've just hit derive and not changed a thing.
Annoying, especially now it's locked to derivable so anyone can just use my texture. _________________

Oh, no I didn't.
I really don't care to hear their ifs and buts and the but-I-did-nothing-wrong.
Perhaps their response will be none of such but I just have no intention of
engaging in communication, considering the result of the last time I tried that
approach. It leads to...headaches. _________________ |

Apparently this glitch, or whatever the cause is, isn't very new. The derives
were done a bit less than a year ago.
I've been told to dmca them, and it has been implied that there's no way to
look into the how of the error due to the fact that it occurred quite a while ago.
I do find it kind of odd that I haven't noticed the derives until now, but oh well.
With staff not being able to explain it, this issue is pretty much at a dead end.

I have been waiting since the 27 of October 2011. for Imvu to do something.
If you have it in your report, at least you get your share.
I don't I don't get those credit. That situation is past DMCA. It's fraud actually. _________________

Since the products are derivations submitted nearly a year ago, it is likely that it was part of a problem in Create Mode that we have since fixed. Create Mode checks product derivation values, and if these are set to enabled, one can proceed with deriving; if set to disabled [as in your case] Create Mode blocks derivation. This is true even when using admin/staff accounts.
Fortunately, we have not had any other help tickets filed for this reason, and you are receiving credits from sales of the derivations. Unless these two issues change, this is not considered a high priority issue.
ETA: dancor: this is likely related to your same issue, since it occurred on nearly the same date. This issue remains a low priority since you cannot derive off of these in Create Mode today. _________________ Katie --Creator Community Manager, IMVU Inc. |

I can't say if I'm getting my part from all of the sales off the derivations.
I've tried to have a look at my sales report from a year ago, but the report
just does not want to show me the dates that I'm asking for.
I don't think all the derivations sales are being reported in my sales report though,
because then I would probably have noticed these products sooner. _________________ |

I see
Me not receiving my dues is not a priority. Interesting. Will see. _________________

dancor: you are not receiving sales for these items?
CD: I was able to find a listing for the sale of one of the derivations in your report, I believe it was on March 19 late in the day. _________________ Katie --Creator Community Manager, IMVU Inc. |
