|
|
I've looked up a tutorial on animating IMVU skeletons using 3ds Max. I got all that down. I've made an animation with an avatar that I'd like to use as a trigger animation for the catalog.
My problem is the IMVU creator editor. Once I get my .XAF file into IMVU, press apply changes, then press play, it doesn't animate. I've Googled around and tried for hours to figure out what I've done wrong.
I used the RiggedAvatarMASTER's Female04_Anime01_IDLE_MASTER file to animate my action. I exported my animation as a .XAF and using the RiggedAvatarMASTER's skeleton, Female04_Anime01_SkeletonMASTER. In 3ds MAX 2012, I've set my frames to start from 0 and end at 50. I set the displacement frames to 0.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong at all. Yes, I am new to animating. Please, if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong it'll be appreciated. |

I don`t do animations that much, but 50 frames is very small, maybe the animation is working but it only last few sec you can`t see it.
in imvu aniation tutorial for furniture , i know you are making an avatar animation, but in that video to animated the propeller of a fan it takes 200 frames.
if you make it whit 50 frames the animation will be so fast it may look like it did not moved.
where do you see the displacement frames? and why you set them to 0? _________________

I'll try making it longer, but I saw a YouTube video where someone used 50 frames. I don't even know what displacement frames are.
EDIT: I tried sustaining the animation, but still no luck. |

Thanks, but I really have no luck in animating this at all. Maybe I'm attaching it to the skeleton wrong? I don't know. There has to be something I'm doing wrong - unless it's just the new client. |
