Add Relationship status 'Engaged'

Ok so i got engaged and i went to change my status on here and then i had the shock of not seeing 'engaged'... it may not be a big deal for some but it would be nice to have it since we do go from in relation, engaged, married... so it would make alot of sense to make a new Relationship status of 'Engaged' for those on the way to marriage Smile

I think IMVU just uses In a Relationship as a catch all, kind of like how they don't cater to all the various genders / orientations.

It's just a can of worms waiting to be opened if they started catering to everything. First they add Engaged, then someone else is going to come along and start asking for them to include "It's Complicated"

IMVU already gets enough flack from people saying they are just turning into a 3d version of other social networking sites. This would just add more fuel to the fire.

Personally, I see being engaged as being in a relationship.

its a nice thought but being set to "in a relationship" is basically the same thing. they have the most important parts covered of single in a relationship married divorced prefer not to say and other there really isnt a need to go beyond that as everything is covered in those categories ppl that have open relationships can mark other or prefer not to say just as those in a steady relationship that has lead to an engagement can stay marked as in a relationship until they become married

and congratulations on your engagement a word of advice my mother gave me when i got married "dont kill him with an iron skillet, blood makes the cornbread taste funny..." (just a little humor not intending to offend anyone and yes she did say that to me right before she walked me down the isle)

First off, congratulations Very Happy

- Second, i completely agree. It's engaged. Its a pretty legit status. lol. i dont see why they shouldnt add this . but i do also feel they should seperate gay and lesbian instead of having it be gay/lesbian. Those are the only changes i feel are neccessary.

some people often put "in a relationship" when they're engaged, but it really does not have the same impact. They should add "engaged" to the list.

Yea in a relationship is more like boyfriend and girlfriend whle engaged shows how you are tying the knot with your special someone. Would be nice if they would update that. Smile

It's a website/3D Chatting program, no one cares if you're engaged, lol. I'm engaged and I still have my status set to In A Relationship. I see no need to go any further than that unless you're reaching out for random congrats or gifts. If it really matters to you go to Facebook or something where the site isn't based around a 3D world where you can be anyone and do anything. People aren't going to believe or care to believe if you're really engaged in the real world.

So no, IMVU doesn't need to add this, there are other things they can add that the community will better appreciate.

Yea and also "Single" is not same as "Forever Alone". I want that too!

Not to mention the need for options "in an open relationship" , "complicated", "unstable" and things like that!

Ofcourse they dont need to add this, but it would be a nice feature to have, instead of just the basic stuff.

I personally think this is a great idea, I have thought about suggesting this before but I didn't. They don't Need to add it per-say but it would be a nice addition.
