|

Alright I have noticed an "issue" of sorts... and I was asked to bring this question to the IMVU creator community. So let me know if ANY of you have had this problem too please.....
I have submitted thus far 3 items.... 2 AP and 1 GA that have decided (on their own) to re-rate themselves some time during the submission process. I know I set them correctly, as I always check... then I either get a TOS or I notice later that the product is rated wrongly when I KNOW without a doubt in create mode I rated it right.
For this problem to be looked into it needs to be shown that this is happening out there.... so please put it here so that they know we're not going crazy when we look at a hair and go "How did that become AP???"
Thank you!!

While you might have set them correctly to what you thought they should be, did you check what you derived off of. The item you derived off of may have been actually been AP and your version GA. But in this case it doesn't matter what rating you think it should have, you can't have a GA item derived off of an AP. The other thing to check is if the original item wasn't rerated by CS because it broke TOS or the VPG or the MCG. _________________

The items derived off of have all been GA (my own mesh and a mesh by Leonessa75)... I know I set the items as AP but they went and turned into GA some time... when I know... I KNOW I set it to AP. And the item that went to AP from GA... original item was GA so it was rated as GA then flipped to AP, but with a lovely help ticket it was fixed... just wondering if others seem to be having this problem with things that we rate correctly and are sure of it suddenly have changed and we feel like we've gone crazy.
For record I am not a new dev... been doing this since 2007. _________________

Yes I know you aren't a new dev. The only thing to do then is to make a help ticket to get CS to fix it. _________________

Well I asked a staff and I was directed to come to forums and see if anyone else is having this same problem... hence the thread. _________________

it's happened to me also Vervane and now you bring it up, an obvious IMVU issue and not an error on your part...now me, yep I thought it was me, lmao...but that's how I roll. Will look and file help tickets on mine so that IMVU is more aware of the situation and it can be put onto the "to be fixed" pile. _________________

It's the first time I've heard of it, but now that you have decribed, this may have happened in reverse to someone who has derived off of one of my meshes. It was GA but is now AP, staff looked into it and said they didn't rerated, so it must have been the creator. _________________

Hi, did you file a help ticket if so can you pm me the case number? Also more info is needed:
1. After submitting did you publish the products?
2. Did the products fail peer review?

Alright DA hun... what happened is my product passed... so I figured fine... turn around got a TOS.... insta-fail... I freaked out... resubmitted as AP (again)... then went to ask Katie in the Welcome Room if she had any idea why it could happen since I know without a doubt I had originally set it to AP.... she looked at the item and said there was no way she could look to see how it was originally submitted then suggested it would be wise of me to come ask in forums if others were having the same issue so if they were it could be looked into further by an engineer. Alright?
Edit* No I didn't file a help ticket - had instead went to talk to Katie because had heard help was down currently (would be back up soon)... and it wouldn't be a big deal except the fact that I am getting hit with TOS when I know I am not setting the AP items as GA when I submit and I really do NOT want to end up disabled if it's a glitch that keeps happening. _________________

Ive had this happen to me on numerous occassions and for the likes of me i was unsure why, so i went back and looked at the items - Couldnt figure out why, now I know why - which is a shame that we get hit w it and there seems to be a glitch instead of allowing us to go back in and chng the item to the appropriate rating r all together... even if its GA r AP derived from an empty mesh r not.. _________________ Each of you should look NOT only to your own interests, but to OTHERS also..
