Is there an actual parents group who has their real children on IMVU, not age-play children but actual children, their OWN children, not just being involved with some one elses children here?
i would very much be interested in reading all they would have to say.

I still say that they should divide GA and AP into 2 seperate servers.The GA would have there server,and the AP persons can go to both GA and AP.Just when they go to GA,their personal catty only contains GA material,where the AP server would carry both...just like they do now...I know it sounds a bit far fetched,but it sounds better than what they are trying to piece together.What their doing now shouldve been thought about before AP was ever introduced in IMVU.....but we all know what AP was created for to start off with.....$$$$$...Its like combining meez.com and redlight.com,it just dont work=/

imvu is based in usa in cali right ? well where the hell did my constitional rights go do i not get to express myself do i not get to have freedom of speech ? i sighned a tos a long time ago i have not sighned new one by what right after dumping $5000.00 usd in to these accountts am i be told i cant do anything with my adult friends without haveing to look over my shoulder to make sure geastople and there, and sorry bout spelling im mad

i can imagine that more than a few people might be sharing some of your feelings..
But the answer to your question can be found in the first bolded paragraph of the TOS:
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (THE "TERMS") SET FORTH BELOW GOVERN YOUR USE OF THE IMVU WEBSITE LOCATED AT WWW.IMVU.COM (THE "SITE") AND/OR PURCHASE AND/OR USE OF OUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES (THE "PRODUCTS"). THESE TERMS ARE A LEGAL CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND IMVU AND GOVERN YOUR ACCESS TO, AND USE OF, THE SITE AS WELL AS ANY RELATED PRODUCTS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR OTHERWISE USE THIS SITE, PRODUCTS, OR ANY INFORMATION ON OR RELATED TO THIS SITE. The problem is that our avatar cards are publicly viewable.
They represent us publicly in IMVU and that includes how young people see us.
To make an AP card, seems like it would be as simple as having our home pages set as AP if we wish.. but actually the cards are there AS our public representation.
i am an adult. Surprising to some people ne? And as an adult i do have some AP interests, and i own some AP products and as a developer in IMVU i have even made a few AP products.. shocking yes?
But that does NOT mean that i have any right to be publicly displaying those AP interests or content. There are appropriate places for that and i can display it all there if i choose.. i do not need to advertise it on mai avatar card at all.
The avatar cards are intended to be public, and just as most of us put on clothes before we go outside, IMVU expects us to have our avatar cards properly dressed as well.
An AP avatar card would NOT be publicly viewable. |
^ my point exactly why cant we choose for them to be publicly viewable or not I appreciate your opinion on the whole matter but as an imvu customer i was asking the imvu staff |

Leave it to IMVU to Ignore everything & side with the Guest_ accounts created in 2012 age 13 and Below getting into AP-er's business where they shouldn't be an blaming us? Also Flag reporting EVERYTHING we do and create for Trolling purposes. (I know right...? Kids...)
Rather than coming to a logical agreement with their paying customers who have been with them for many years to make Imvu a safe environment for them and leave the adults to do what they please in their own environment.
I'm pretty sure my adult-brethren do not appreciate being treated like children with no Free-will unless they say we can do something and is Rated Pre-school okay.
We have AP for a reason am I right?
Just make a AP Server for fudge sakes.
We PAY so why should we be Ignored & Banned because of something we have asked IMVU to fix ?
There really is no point is discussing things with IMVU in reality they don't give a crap

There are no plans to make avatar cards AP only. All content on an avatar card must be GA appropriate as per our policies irrespective of the account type.
The new flagging tools are an improvement in allowing users to flag an avatar card and specify whether the report is for profile image, tagline or interest.
The homepage flagging (Report this home page link) is still there and works exactly as before with a comment field.
There are no safety issues created for IMVU users because of the flagging tools that we continue to improve upon.
I am locking this thread as the flagging tools are now available and the feature is working fine.
