IMVU Again Recognized as Best Place to Work in Bay Area by San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal
PALO ALTO, CA -- April 26, 2011 -- IMVU, an online social entertainment destination where members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat, create and play games with their friends, today announced that the company has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal as one of the best places to work in the Bay Area.
“Everyone at IMVU helps to make it a place where employees can do their best work,” said Cary Rosenzweig, CEO of IMVU. “Last year, we were recognized in the 51-100 employee category. We are thrilled to to receive this honor for the second year in a row especially since this year we are being recognized in the larger 101-500 employee category. Delivering a great employee experience leads to a great customer experience.”
The annual ranking compiled by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal selects the top 100 companies to work for in the Bay Area. This year more than 300 companies applied for this distinguished designation in the category of 101-500 employees. Employees in each of the companies completed an online questionnaire that tabulated their level of satisfaction with their jobs and whether they felt valued in the company.
“Great people in Silicon Valley always have choices about where they work.” said Mike Smith, Senior Director of People & Talent at IMVU. “Our rewarding and supportive environment, coupled with profitable growth, continues to make IMVU an employer of choice.”
