Popular online community adds Social Entertainment pro and former Second Life executive, David Fleck, as Vice President of Marketing
PALO ALTO, CA -- April 29, 2010 -- IMVU, an online community where members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat, create and play with their friends, today announced that the company has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal as one of the best places to work in the Bay Area. The company also announced that David Fleck, former vice president of marketing and business development for Second Life, has joined IMVU as vice president of marketing.

The annual ranking compiled by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal selects the top 100 companies to work for in the Bay Area. This year more than 350 companies applied for this distinguished designation in the category of 50-100 employees. Employees in each of the companies completed an online questionnaire that tabulated their level of satisfaction with their jobs and whether they felt valued in the company.

Before joining Linden Lab, David held senior positions at Openwave, Macromedia and Novell.
