IMVU Brings on Seasoned Marketer to Lead Customer Acquisition

Management Team Build Out to Drive Accelerated Growth

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 28, 2008 -- IMVU Inc. (www.imvu.com), an online destination where adults and teens meet new people in 3D, today announced Jeff Titterton has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Reporting to CEO Cary Rosenzweig, Titterton will lead customer acquisition for the company. Over the last four years, the IMVU community has grown quickly around the use of online three dimensional characters, called avatars, to meet new people from around the world.

"With little marketing effort, IMVU has grown to over 25 million registered users, the world's largest digital goods catalog with 1.8 million items, and more than $1 million in monthly revenue," said Cary Rosenzweig, CEO of IMVU Inc. "I'm thrilled that Jeff is joining us to bring even more people to IMVU."

Prior to IMVU, Titterton founded and served as CEO of RealJock.com, the largest health and fitness-focused site for the LGBT community. Before starting RealJock.com, he served as Senior Vice President of Member Sales and Marketing at PlanetOut, Inc., a leading gay and lesbian media company, where he managed the company's subscriptions and transactional revenue lines for its Gay.com and PlanetOut.com web sites. He also led PlanetOut's marketing, business analytics, customer service, and community management teams. Titterton was a member of the four-person executive management team that took PlanetOut public ("IPO") in 2004. He began his career as a marketer and editor at Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations and Future Publishing USA, and earned a B.A. in English Literature from Cornell University.

Titterton joins IMVU one month after the company hired Yahoo! social networking expert Lee Clancy as Vice President of Product Management and General Manager of Direct Revenue. Clancy served as Senior Director for Community Products at Yahoo!, where he led product management for Yahoo! Groups and Yahoo! Personals.

"We wanted an entrepreneurial marketer who knows how to attract new users and paying customers," said Steve Blank, IMVU board member and founder of eight Silicon Valley startups, including E.piphany. "Jeff's experience as an Internet startup marketer will help propel IMVU to even greater heights."
